Hard Times by Charles Dickens
Production Design
Based on the novel Hard Times by Charles Dickens, a shooting script for “one day’s filming” has been made. We had to find a suitable location for filming. For individual work, I made appropriate changes to transform that urban environment into a Victorian era setting.

1. Lighting in Coketown Street.
At the moment, the visual is showing that this is a night setting which is not mentioned in the script. During the process of making the location appear increasingly muddy and dirty under heavy rain, I inadvertently transformed it into a night scene. Despite that, the lighting in this visual does not highlight the composition as well as the main and secondary components.
2. Storyboard
I failed to draw the posture in some frames. It would be better if there was more shading on the characters.
3. Measurement
As I decided to use another side of the building for Pegasus Arms in the last minute. I didn't have time to get the exact dimensions.
