NARNIA

In collaboration with Newstead Abbey, we create spaces, designs and installations inspired by the theme “Narnia” for Newstead’s Christmas season.

Concept Paragraph

Lightbox

recreate the battle scene in a lightbox which is placed on top of a piano.

Mobile

characters on the mobile are the main characters from Narnia. This would then be hung from one of the many chandeliers in the Abbey.

Projection

inspired by dancing fire scene in Mr. Tumnus’s house, video of group member dancing with fire effect is projected inside the fireplace.

Hidden Characters

place hidden objects around Newstead Abbey for children to find and observe their unique art style.

Colouring Activity

provide colours and line drawing of Aslan, the Children and Santa for visitor to have fun

Lightbox Illustration

The idea for the lightbox is to use characters that were part of the final battle within the story. This takes place on a hilly area with mountains in the distance. The battle consists of Aslan and his army against the White Witch's army.

In the making of lightbox

Laser cutting is applied to cut out each elements individually. The mountains in the background are made from acetate and tracing paper in which allows light to flow through them.
