No matter how many times he changes his place, there are two things that do not change in Quentin Crisp's room: the large mirror and the single bed. The mirror reflects Quentin's personality and confidence in his flirty and elegant clothes. Mirrors have brown wooden frames, often in Victorian style. Meanwhile, although he clearly knows he will not sleep alone, Quentin seems to have never intended to buy a large bed. He does not believe in love or a stable life with a certain partner.

Along with classic furniture, dusty surfaces and grimy everyday domestic items have created an indelible mark of time in Quentin's world. According to a philosophy, maybe it is similar to Quentin's philosophy of life, which is to focus on yourself instead of the chaos around you. He always kept the curtains wide open without caring if the neighbors would peek because he didn't live up to anyone's standards. Or, it all seems to be declaring that Quentin has become an enculturated figure.
