Meshes of the Afternoon (1943)

Like all surrealism films, Meshes of the Afternoon has many puzzling details. When the main character entered the house, I tried to find clues about the owner of the house. Except for the first appearance of newspapers in the living room, feminine decorative details such as floral curtains, floral-patterned sofas, and small dining tables reveal that this could be a woman. Women can read newspapers too, right? However, after watching the entire movie, I think the filmmakers successfully deceived the audience.
