Directed by Carol Reed.
The use of expressionist cinematography for black and white film, intense lighting and distorted “Dutch angle” angles are prominent features of The Third Man. Combined with the iconic soundtrack, the shabby scenery, and the actors' great acting, the film's style evokes in viewers the feeling of an exhausted, bitter post-war Vienna in the United States, early period of the Cold War. It is deserved to be called as one of the best films of all time, warmly welcomed for its exceptional acting, soundtrack and cinematography.
